It is so hard to find good fruit in the winter because most fruit peaks in freshness during the summer months. I don't know about you but sweet, ripe fruit is one of my favorite things. I'm so happy to tell you about Nature's Peak Frozen Fruit! Nature's Peak is fruit that is picked and flash frozen at the peak of ripeness which retains not only the sweetness but also the natural colors and aromas of the fresh fruit in fruit that can be eaten in the middle of winter. Nature's Peak adds no sugar to the fruit. It's a process that truly works!
Nature's Peak Frozen Foods comes in both Fruit Blends and Single Fruit Varieties.
The Fruit Blends include:
- Berry Quartet - This blend is made up of Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries.
- Paradise Fruit Medley - This blend consists of Kiwi, Mango, Peaches, Pineapple and Cantaloupe.
- Summer Fruit Salad - A combination of Strawberries, Honeydew Melon, Peaches, Pineapple and Red Grapes.
- Sun-Ripened Trio - A beautiful medley of sliced Strawberries, Mango and Peaches.
- Aloha Gold Pineapple
- Country Strawberries
- Cranberry Harvest
- Ruby Raspberries
- Sunburst Mango
- Wild Blueberries
I was sent two bags of frozen fruit to sample; Sunburst Mango and Cranberry Harvest which came in beautiful, vibrant packaging! We chose the mango to make smoothies first because mango is one of my favorite fruits! I had a hard time tasting the mango with all the other fruits but I could taste a slight, sweet mango flavor. With the leftover mango, I made myself dessert! Like I said above, mango is one of my favorite fruits because of the unique flavor and subtle sweetness of the fruit. I was surprised to find that the frozen fruit tasted almost identical to fresh mango! It was like I had just peeled a mango and chopped it up a minute before I ate it. On the package was a recipe for Mango Black Bean Salsa which looks and sounds delicious!
The Cranberry Harvest was the perfect addition to my morning smoothie! I could taste the tartness of the cranberries which was a wonderful contrast to the sweetness of the strawberries and pineapple that I added to the smoothie. I also love cranberries for the antioxidant properties! At the holidays, I always make a dish named Cabernet Cranberries which uses fresh cranberries to make a sauce with Cabernet wine, sugar and tangerine zest. It's an amazing sauce! I would use these frozen cranberries for that sauce if I couldn't find fresh cranberries because these berries tasted every bit as good!
