Shell Motor Oil Matters {REVIEW & GIVEAWAY}

I have to admit that I'm one of those people who is lazy when it comes to taking care of her car.  Usually, I push it out to 6 months or 60,000 miles rather than 3 months or 30,000 miles like it's recommended.  It's bad, I know, but I just don't think about it often enough and when I do think about it, it's usually when the oil change place is closed.  However, after reading some facts on MotorOilMatters.org, I plan to keep my car tuned up and full of fresh oil!  My car is over 10 years old so it's imperative that I keep good, clean oil in my motor to act as a lubricant, cleaner, sealer, coolant and help perform other important functions.

I was fortunate to receive a $35 gift card to Jiffy Lube from Shell Lubricants and MotorOilMatters.org through My Blog Spark.  Luckily, I was due for my next one so I went down to my local Jiffy Lube (you can find the closest one to you by clicking here) and got an oil change.  Jiffy Lube is great because they always offer you a newspaper to read while you wait.  It was empty during the time I was there, so my oil change happened very quick.  They are also great about giving you suggestions for maintenance on your car without being pushy.  The best thing is they walk you to your car when they are finished and you have paid!  How nice is that?

One lucky reader of Giveaways and More is going to receive a $35 gift card to use at Jiffy Lube for an oil change of their own!

  142. I learned what is considered to be severe driving:
    Severe use typically includes stop-and-go driving, frequent high-speed driving and short trips.
    Towing, operating in dusty conditions and operating in cold and hot weather are also typically considered severe service.
    You should review the severe service definition in your owner’s manual to determine the proper oil drain interval.
