Here are my five tips for successful holiday tech shopping:
1. Do your research! Know what exactly you are looking for and where to find it. That can be done by simply asking the person for a little more information or paying more attention when that individual is talking about the latest and greatest gadget that they just can't live without!
2. Check your email! If you have purchased from the internet in the past, there is a very good chance that you are one email lists for those retailers. Retailers love to use emails to advertise great deals. If you do not get those emails, find a few online retailers where you love to shop and sign up for the email deals. You'll be amazed at what sorts of specials get sent out to those lists.
3. Ask the experts! Take some time to visit message boards that are geared towards technology. They are very easy to find by searching on google or another search engine and can be incredible sources of information. Those folks know what they are talking about and love to share their knowledge!
4. Reviews are the key! Obviously, I am a fan of product reviews as I do a few of them here on my blog, but I find that review sites and even reviews on retailer sites such as amazon.com can be extremely informative. If I'm going to spend over $100 on a gift, I want to know that it will work down the road. Product reviews can tell you the pros and cons of the product.
5. Spend your money wisely! Make sure that the deal you are getting is a good one which is easy to do by comparing the prices around the internet. There are great websites out there that will do the comparison for you so all you have to do is tell them the product you are looking for. How great is that?
This holiday season, make sure you are fully informed when shopping for technology so that you get the best deal and your loved one gets the best product!

IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test and are thrilled with it!
I was a little skeptical on trying this i thought "how could this work, its impossible" I took the test at 11
weeks gestation (after having 3 boys and wishing for a girl) I got a "girl" result and even after taking the
test i was a little unsure on whether or not to believe it, i had my ultrasound and it said "girl" still didn't
believe it until the first time i changed her diaper. i gave birth to my beautiful daughter Nautica Elise on 6-
I love this test. I was really excited about being pregnant. After two miscarriages, I decided to try again.
Well I was about 10 weeks pregnant and went to Walgreens to purchase the test. I waited until the next
morning to take it. It turned ORANGE. I said yay. I had a small bet going with my husband that it was a
girl. I went to have my 20wk sonogram done and it was indeed a GIRL. Everyone should try this, even if
its for fun.
There you have it! Some real life experiences with IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test! I think the best part of this test is that it is extremely affordable. It retails for $34.95 (includes shipping) on the website but you can also purchase it at Target, Walgreens, CVS and HEB. That's pretty inexpensive for someone who is so anxious to find out the sex that they just can't wait!
Guess what? You can win an IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test right here! IntelliGender has generously donated one test to one lucky Giveaways and More reader!

With over 30 years of medical practice and experience in gynecology, Daniel S. Stein, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is widely recognized as a leading expert in issues of women's health and wellness.
Dr. Stein has dedicated his award-winning medical career as a clinician, surgeon, researcher and author to creating new advancements in comprehensive healthcare. After observing common complaints and behaviors in his female patients of all ages, Dr. Stein spent years conducting research and consulting with patients to develop Dan-e™ as a safe and effective way for women to boost their energy, mood and passion.
Dan-e is naturally formulated with vitamins and herbs along with pro-hormones to help boost your energy and mood, ignite passion and desire, support optimal women's health and relieve normal PMS or menopausal symptoms. All of these things can be done with this one vitamin, you ask? According to a clinical study that was commissioned by Dan-e, women who took this supplement showed marked increases in all of these categories. You can check out the results of this study on the Dan-e website by clicking here. These are amazing results after just one month of taking this supplement!
I received an eight week supply of Dan-e and have noticed a definite change in my energy levels in just the first couple of weeks of taking it. I'm not sure of I've seen any changes in the other categories, but with more energy for daily activities it's easier to have more energy for other activities, if you know what I mean (wink, wink). I'm really looking forward to seeing if the other claims are as true for me as they were for the women in the clinical study.
You, too, can take the Dan-e Eight Week Challenge and if you are not satisfied with the changes in the first 30 days you can return the rest and receive your money back! Don't you just love when a company has a 30 day satisfaction policy? I do because it tells me that these companies truly believe in their product. Keep in mind that there are some women whop should not take Dan-e including women who are pregnant or nursing or who are trying to become pregnant, women under 18 years old and women who are already taking supplements should consult with their doctor before beginning taking Dan-e. Try it and then let me know what you think!
Disclosure: I received free samples to try in exchange for my honest review if the product. I was not required to post a positive review nor offer a giveaway in exchange for the free product. All opinions are my own.

IKEA has even increased the number of soft toys that are available this year including adding some accessories for the GOSIG pet series such as beauty and vet bags, stylish outfits, pet carriers, lunchboxes and more! These toys are so cute and some are even made to help stimulate babies' senses and motor abilities. Not only are these toys soft and cuddly, but they are affordable for parents, too! The toys range in price from $0.49 to $19.99 so there is a toy for every budget out there.
I was thrilled to receive a FABLER blue handbag for review as seen above. It is such a cute bag and retails for only $2.99! The bag is made to give children something to tote their small items around in. They can reenact a shopping trip to the grocery store or little girls can treat it like a purse! Kids have such wonderful imaginations so I won't even try to limit the possibilities for the use of this bag. There are so many different soft toys that can be purchased including pets like dogs and cats, spiders, rats, snakes, rabbits and the list goes on. They are all so adorable (well, maybe not the rats) and can be thrown in the washing machine, too! You can view the entire collection here.
Take a quick look at the collection and if you have an IKEA located nearby your house, head over and check them out in person! Maybe you'll find one that your child will love to have and help out some needy children along the way. Happy Holidays!

Ornaments With Love is a wonderful website that sells personalized ornaments for every occasion and recipient. There are Baby Christmas Ornaments, Wedding Christmas Ornaments, Angel Christmas Ornaments, Family Christmas Ornaments and the list goes on. There are over 2000 ornaments that you can peruse and personalize! That could take days to go through all of them and choose the perfect one!
I was thrilled when I was allowed to pick out an ornament and personalize it! It was an easy choice for me because my husband and I are very involved in golf so a golf ornament was definitely on my wish list. The check out process was very simple and I was surprised when I received the ornament just two days after I ordered it online! That's great service! I was also very impressed with the quality of the ornament. It's heavy enough to feel sturdy but not too heavy that it will weigh the tree down. I wish I had a Christmas Tree set up so I could take a picture of it hanging, but I like to get through Thanksgiving before decorating for Christmas.
Most of these ornaments cost less than $15 each which includes personalization! That's not bad considering that this ornament will be treasured for years to come!
Ornaments with Love is offering one of my readers a FREE personalized ornament of the winner's choosing!
Please visit Ornaments with Love and tell me which ornament you would like to have and leave a comment below. (Please make sure that I have an email address to contact you if you are the winner either in the comment itself or on your profile.)

Authors of Be the Change: How Meditation Can Transform You and the World
The holidays are a tough time, when demands are constantly being made on our patience, coping capacity, and endurance! When things are not going your way or they look topsy-turvy and you just want to scream; when your day appears chaotic and you are not sure if you are coming or going; or when it feels like it is all piled on your shoulders, then this is the ideal moment to resource yourself by just stopping, being still, and breathing.
You do have what it takes within you to do everything and still be peaceful, but you may need a reminder to just stop and breathe. So here are three moments to regenerate yourself and remember why you are doing all this in the first place. All it takes is a moment to look within and reconnect with your loving heart. You can get it together even when you think it is all falling apart!
Mini-meditations can be done on a train, walking down the street, at an airport, standing at a bus stop, in an elevator, while chopping vegetables, or while sitting in the bathroom -- often the only place you can guarantee you will be left alone! Silently count your out-breath up to ten times, or walk with awareness of each step for up to ten steps. Or relax each part of your body, then silently repeat "soft belly" for five breaths.
If you are at work, then use your lunch hour to find a quiet spot, perhaps in a park, or even in the office if everyone else has gone out. If you are traveling then use that time to consciously breathe, letting your awareness follow your breath from the nose tip to your belly and back out again. If you are driving or operating machinery and feel you are getting tense, then stop for a moment, focus on any part of the body that is feeling tight and breathe into it, until you relax and let go. Silently repeat "soft shoulders" or "soft neck" and so on.
As you walk down the street or ride an elevator practice a mini-loving kindness by silently wishing everyone be well, wishing that everyone be happy. In the office you can spend a few moments repeating the names of everyone you work with and wishing them happiness. On your way home from work reflect on your day and generate loving thoughts to all those you met. When you send out loving thoughts it relaxes the space around you and dissipates any chaotic or disturbing energies. What you put out comes back to you tenfold.
1. Mini Breath Meditation
Sit comfortably with your back straight. Take a deep breath and let it go. Begin to silently count at the end of each out breath: Inhale . . . exhale . . . count one, inhale . . . exhale . . . two, inhale . . . exhale . . . three. Then start at one again. Just three breaths and back to one. Simply following each breath in and silently counting. So simple. Do this as many times as you want, eyes open or closed, breathing normally.
2. Mini Walking Meditation
You can do this walking along a country lane, a city street, in the office or the garden. You can walk slowly, normal or fast, whatever feels right. As you walk become aware of your walking, of the movement of your body and the rise and fall of your feet. Become aware of your breath and see if you can bring both your breathing and your walking together. Just walk and breathe with awareness for a few minutes.
3. Instant Letting Go
Find a quiet place to sit, have a straight back, and take a deep breath and let it go. Then quietly repeat to yourself: "My body is at ease and relaxed . . . my heartbeat is normal . . . my mind is calm and peaceful . . . my heart is open and loving." Keep repeating this until you have let go of the tension and are at peace. Then take a deep breath and have a smile on your face!
Enjoy the holidays!

Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey comes from the frontier areas of Canada, and is only harvested during a 6-week period in the summer. Tropical Traditions is the exclusive source of this premium organic honey in the U.S. Most commercial honeys available on the market today come from bee farms, where the bees are controlled within a certain area and get their pollen from usually only one kind of flower. Many of the plants that produce these flowers (clover, orange blossom, etc.) are grown with pesticides and fertilizers as well. In addition, almost all honeys on the market are pasteurized in high heat and filtered, removing many of the beneficial nutrients and enzymes.
Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey has not been subjected to the heat of processing, only warmed enough to flow (same temperatures the honey would see inside the hive). We select only premium honey that is pure, smooth and creamy, with the consistency of soft margarine at harvest. It contains live yeast and enzymes, because it has not been processed. It also contains pollen because it has not been filtered—merely screened.
Fine textured crystals are characteristic of totally pure, unheated, unprocessed, raw honey. Properly crystallized honey has a fine, smooth texture. Crystallized honey preserves natural goodness and doesn’t drip. The more rapidly honey crystallizes the finer the texture will be. It will also turn harder over time as it crystallizes. Truly raw honeys do not deteriorate with age, but like fine wines, continue to age and develop into more complex tastes.
This honey was so good! We enjoyed putting it in our evening tea as the nights are getting colder and we enjoy a little sweetened tea now and again. My husband was happy to just take a spoon and dig in! I have to admit that it was better than any honey I had ever eaten. The texture is creamy and the flavor is rich and sweet. I would love to try a peanut butter and honey sandwich with this stuff and, in fact, I may have to do that for lunch very soon!
Tropical Traditions is giving one of my readers their very own jar of Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey.

For this CD, Norah Jones decided to do collaborations with some of her favorite artists. “A lot of the people on this record are people I've worshiped since I was a kid, and some of them are younger and more my contemporaries,” says Jones. “Even though the musicians are so varied, the vibe of the songs makes sense when we put them all together.” Songs on …Featuring range from classics recorded by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Joni Mitchell, and Roy Orbison to new material by such wide-ranging innovators as Ryan Adams and Q-Tip. It is an extremely varied CD and is sure to please even the staunchest critic.
I was pleasantly surprised when "Baby It's Cold Outside" started to play. Norah sings this duet with Willie Nelson and it's just as playful and fun as the original version. Norah's voice is so distinctive and easy to sing along with and since I'm one of those crazy people you see singing to herself in the car, that's a definite plus! I also love Norah's duet with the late Ray Charles, "Here We Go Again". Ray's voice never gets old and combining his melodic sound with Norah's beautiful voice is a winner in my book! There are 18 fantastic tunes on this CD so even if you don't agree with my assessment, you have 16 other songs to choose from.
Norah Jones ...Featuring will be available for purchase beginning November 16th! You can visit Norah's website to find out more about tours and to pre-order this album. Believe me, you will not want to miss this one! It would also make a great Christmas or Hanukkah gift for a loved one.
There are plenty of other ways to stay in touch with Norah, too! You can "Like" her Facebook page and be alerted when something is posted there or you can follow her on YouTube and watch live performances. Just remember to look for Norah's new CD ...Featuring in the stores beginning Tuesday, November 16th!
Disclosure: I received an album free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I also will be entered to win a gift card from One 2 One Network. These things did not influence by opinion of the music at all and all opinions are my own.
FiberOne has also been working lately to improve the flavor and texture of some of their more popular products like the FiberOne Honey Clusters cereal. Each individual serving is loaded with tasty honey clusters, vitamins A and E which are full of antioxidants and 13 grams of fiber! They've also updated FiberOne Raisin Bran Clusters which now contain crispier, lightly sweetened whole grain flakes. With plump, juicy raisins and crunchy clusters it packs 11 grams of fiber and antioxidant vitamins A and E into every serving. Not only are the cereals better but with rich chocolate chips and a new and improved taste, Fiber One Oats & Chocolate chewy bars are a good source of calcium and contain 9 grams of fiber in each bar. How can you go wrong with any of these?
My Blog Spark and FiberOne were generous and sent me some coupons for free FiberOne products as well as a $25 gift card to Safeway to purchase more FiberOne products! I immediately went shopping and bought FiberOne Caramel Delight cereal, FiberOne Brown Sugar Cinnamon Toaster Pastry and some other products to go with those like almond milk. Everything tasted so good! The FiberOne Caramel Delight cereal tasted a lot like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal without so much cinnamon flavor and more caramel. I can't get enough of the toaster pastries! They are perfect for those mornings when you just have to get out of the house quickly yet you want something that is semi-healthy and helps keep you feeling full until lunchtime.
My Blog Spark and FiberOne are teaming up to offer one of my readers the opportunity to win some free FiberOne products as well as a $25 gift card to Safeway (and affiliated stores)!
Head over to FiberOne's website and tell me which products you will buy if you win! (Please make sure that I have an email address to contact you if you are the winner either in the comment itself or on your profile.)

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I was in middle school I had incredibly chapped lips due to some medication that was extremely drying and that is when I began using Carmex to alleviate those chapped lips. What I found was nothing works better on severely chapped lips than Carmex products. I haven't experienced chapped lips lately, so I've been a little out of the loop about Carmex but I was thrilled to be asked to try out some of their newest products; healing cream and healing lotion. How great is it that now we have Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream for our dry skin from the makers of the best products for chapped lips?! There are some times throughout the year for me, starting in December where the air is so drying that I need some extra moisturizing lotion to help keep my skin soft and supple.
Here's some more info about these products directly from the Carmex website:
Carmex® Healing Lotion is made using a patent pending process that delivers healing and moisturization without a greasy feel.
- Use anywhere skin feels dry
- Daily use will help protect skin and keep dryness away
- Rich healing ingredients, including Aloe and Vitamin E, nourish and moisturize skin
- Absorbs fast for a non-greasy feel; has a light, pleasant scent
Carmex® Healing Cream is made using a patent pending process that delivers concentrated healing and moisturization of your driest, roughest skin.
- Use on your driest skin— especially hands, feet, elbows and knees
- 9 healing ingredients penetrate and help repair your very dry, rough or cracked skin
- Concentrated—use a small amount
- Absorbs fast for a non-greasy feel; has a light, pleasant scent
I am happy with these two products and can't wait to really put them to the test as we move into the winter months. Maybe I'm crazy (just ask my husband) but I actually enjoy the scent of Carmex. It's a comforting smell for me and these products smell almost identical to the Carmex lip moisturizer but lighter. It's not overpowering and I love that these products are not tested on animals. The lotion is so silky as you apply it to the skin and it absorbs so quickly! It doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy at all, just soft and smooth. The cream definitely has more heft to it than the lotion! Take care in how much you use because a little really does go a long way with this stuff.
If you have a need for a lotion or cream that really works and is made by a proven company, get out there and buy some Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream!
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly is a major staple in my daily beauty routine. I am very susceptible to bloody noses due to thin membranes in my nostrils and ever since I can remember, doctors have been encouraging me to apply a little bit of Vaseline to the inside of both nostrils every morning to keep those membranes moisturized and protected. Without Vaseline, I would be lost! Vaseline keeps my skin moisturized and protected from dryness and not worried about dealing with a bloody nose at all times. There are plenty of other ways to use Vaseline in your life some of which include as lip balm, overnight moisturizer for dry feet and hands, makeup remover, diaper rash prevention, etc.
Vaseline has been producing their petroleum jelly (can you believe 140 years?) the types of uses have grown exponentially. There are so many uses that you and I don't even know about! People find uses for Vaseline everyday! In fact, if you have a creative and inventive use for Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, head over to the new Vaseline Facebook page where there is a celebration happening! Vaseline is giving away weekly prizes to the most creative use of their product! You could win this amazing Limited Edition Swarovski Crystal Jar of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly (worth approximately $75) and a $500 gift card! There's an additional opportunity to win this Limited Edition jar as well as a $1000 gift card by posting a video about your creative use of Vaseline on the Facebook page!
Vaseline has also unveiled a new jar with a flip top lid making it much easier to use and store the product. I was sent a jar of the NEW Rich Conditioning Cocoa Butter as well as a travel jar of the original product and love it! As I said above, I use Vaseline inside my nostrils and the cocoa butter petroleum jelly smells so good and works great! I love how easy it is to open the lid and use the product. The flip top also keeps the petroleum jelly from getting all over the outside of the container. Vaseline is available at all major retailers and drug stores so get out there and try some for yourself!
Disclosure: I was provided with free samples of Vaseline in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own.
